By the time you read this, the 2005 Nissan Altima should already be at your Nissan dealer, sporting a fresh face, a refined interior, and a bit more power.

With the 2005 Altima, Nissan certainly delivers more excitement and style.
Nissan introduced the Altima’s third iteration in 2002 to rave reviews. The power and styling of the car helped announce Nissan’s renewed vigor in the 21st century. The interior, however, lagged a bit behind rivals, feeling more 20th century.
With the 2005 year model, Nissan is changing that, producing the Altima with a world-class interior. The revised center console is available with either a wood finish or a distinctly European-feeling brushed aluminum finish, and for the first time, the Altima is available with a DVD-based navigation system. For the audiophiles, another available option is an 8-speaker, 6-disc in-dash CD system by Bose.
Nissan hasn’t forgotten about the Altima’s exterior. Already a subject of praise, the Altima’s exterior has been updated with a smoother restyled front, smoked headlamps and taillamps, new wheels, and a distinctive raised hood design.

With nine exterior colors (Majestic Blue and Coral Sand new for 2005), five different levels of model trim, and an extensive suite of options, the Altima offers a wide variety of choices for those shopping in the mid-size sedan market.
The top-of-the-line engine in the 2005 Altima is a 3.5 liter V6 featuring variable valve timing, sporting 250 horsepower and 249 lb-ft of torque, an increase of 5 and 3 respectively over the 2004 model, while still maintaining the Altima’s qualification as a Low Emission Vehicle (LEV).
