2009 Nissan GT-R Throwback Thursday

Throwback Thursday: Charlie Romero reviewing the 2009 Nissan GT-R

The first time I drove Godzilla I fell in love with her. I love it every bit as much today as I did back then. When I get the chance to drive a Nissan GT-R on public streets or at the race track I jump on it. This car obviously keeps the fanboys foaming at the mouth but the truth is folks buying Porsches, Z06s, and others should give this car a serious look.

Later this year we will review the new 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo special edition car. Stay tuned for that video and in the meantime enjoy our throwback thursday choice for this week. My hair will give you a good chuckle. What was I thinking?!?!

Charlie is Roadfly’s founder and publisher, and was taught to drive by his father in a 1974 Porsche 914. That made poor Charlie a Porsche fanboy for life, and after driving a 911SC at 16, he bought and campaigned a variety of 944s at racetracks up and down the East Coast, earning awards and track records in his twenties. Charlie never really got over the car bug, and after a career in real estate development he founded the Internet media firm that became Roadfly. Charlie lives in McLean, VA with his wife and two daughters, and between the demands of family and business doesn’t have much time to play with cars anymore, excluding the machinery we review.
