2018 Range Rover Supercharged Review
Pros & Cons | What’s New |
---|---|
Elegance, elegance, elegance! | My favorite update is the dual screens on the center console. |
Very clean & clutter free dashboard and center console areas. | The seats are a little wider and therefore a little more comfortable. |
Terrain Response traction & off-road system is truly amazing. | Activity key is now available. This was first introduced by Jaguar. |
I wish they didn’t drink so much gas but a plugin hybrid is on its way. | |
There’s more body roll than I like. |
Q. Should I put the Range Rover on my SUV shopping list?
A. Yes! I love the Range Rover and the long wheel base version of the Range Rover has been my all-time favorite SUV since it first came out in 2014.

The standard powertrain is 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 with 340 horsepower, and as an alternative you can opt for a 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 diesel with 254 hp. Our test vehicle came equipped with the 5.0-liter supercharged V-8 with 518 hp.
As mentioned above, a plug-in hybrid model, badged as a P400e, will arrive in 2019. It will combine a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 and an electric motor for a combined 398 hp. Electric only driving range is expected to be 31 miles.
As has been the case for many years Range Rovers are in very high demand and in limited supply. Don’t plan on getting a discount off the MSRP and do plan on having to wait for the SUV of your dreams.
