SOLD: Beautifully Restored 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Convertible

For sale is a beautiful example of a fully restored 1969 Camaro RS/SS Convertible. This Camaro Super Sport went through an extensive and thorough high-end restoration in 2007. All interior & exterior parts were completely removed and thoroughly restored or replaced and upgraded when possible. The vehicle is in excellent condition with only 3,000 miles since the restoration.

The engine and transmission were replaced with a brand new 5.7L LS1 V8 and a 6-speed manual transmission and a stainless steel, dual exhuast was added. The suspension was lowered 2″ with new shocks and springs. The brakes were replaced with Wilwood calipers, rotors, master cylinder and power booster.

The Rally Sport (RS) option was an appearance package that included hideaway headlights, backup lights under the rear bumper, and special exterior trim. It was available in combination with any other option, so special cars like this one are referred to as a RS/SS.

This Camaro is located in Great Falls, VA which is 30 minutes outside of Washington, DC. Convenient airports are Dulles International Airport, Dulles, VA and Reagan National Airport, Arlington, VA.

Charlie is Roadfly’s founder and publisher, and was taught to drive by his father in a 1974 Porsche 914. That made poor Charlie a Porsche fanboy for life, and after driving a 911SC at 16, he bought and campaigned a variety of 944s at racetracks up and down the East Coast, earning awards and track records in his twenties. Charlie never really got over the car bug, and after a career in real estate development he founded the Internet media firm that became Roadfly. Charlie lives in McLean, VA with his wife and two daughters, and between the demands of family and business doesn’t have much time to play with cars anymore, excluding the machinery we review.
